Collection: Moss agate

Moss Agate is a semi-precious gemstone formed from silicon dioxide. It is a form of chalcedony which includes minerals of a green color embedded in the stone, forming filaments and other patterns suggestive of moss. Despite its name, Moss Agate is not a true agate as it lacks agate's defining feature of concentric banding.

The stone's appearance is translucent, clear or milky white quartz and includes green mineral inclusions giving it a mossy look. These inclusions can be dendritic which means tree-like, so sometimes it's also called Dendritic Agate.

Moss Agate can be found in a variety of locations worldwide including India, Brazil, Uruguay, central Europe, western United States, and others.

In terms of metaphysical properties, Moss Agate is often called a "gardener's stone" due to its mystical properties of helping ensure a full crop. Moreover, it was considered a miraculous healing stone for tribal priests of the past, granting them power to interact with our human organic system.

In a more general sense, Moss Agate is considered a stone of new beginnings, refreshing the soul and enabling you to see the beauty in all you behold. It attracts abundance and improves self-esteem. It promotes self-expression and communication, balances the emotions, and reduces stress and fears. It is also believed to help balance the physical body, especially the digestive system, and boost the immune system.
