Agate’s Warm Earth-Brown Frame
A broad brown band gives this agate a warm, earthy frame. Within it, white, cream and pale tan meet in a dense, angular pattern, interrupted by scattered dark grey patches. Thin pale grey and white bands trace the centre’s boundary, separating the mottled interior from its smoother-looking brown surround. Bright highlights catch across the broad face and along the outer rim.
The pale centre could suggest an imagined terraced garden, each angular patch a small plot bordered by slender paths. Around it, the dark brown rim is white-speckled, coarse-looking and uneven. The thick, slab-like shape has an asymmetrical outline: a rounded, irregular upper edge above a long, nearly straight lower edge. Its character lives in these contrasts—a delicately traced centre held within a rugged border.
