Celestite’s Blue Hollow

Pale blue and blue-grey give this celestite cluster a delicate colour, but its closely packed crystals have a bold, angular character. Glossy, flat faces catch bright white reflections around the open central cavity. Between those flashes, darker shadows draw the eye inward, making the visible edges stand out against the hollow. A whitish-grey rim frames this gathering of blue.

The elongated outline narrows towards the upper tip and broadens into a rounded lower edge. Its rough, granular-looking border offers a lovely contrast to the glossy crystals within. In an imagined landscape, these faces could become pale terraces above a shaded river, their sharp ledges holding the light.
